Sovereign Tower Alliances: What Do They Do?.

Short answer: treat an alliance as a state change to test. Snapshot the kingdom before agreeing, then watch quests, resources, relationships, and follow-up access on the next few steps.

Take a snapshot before agreeing

Record the day, resources, active quests, relationship indicators, and visible kingdom or tower state. Without the before-state, a later change can be caused by time, a quest, or an upgrade rather than the alliance.

Check four kinds of payoff

Look for a visible change in diplomacy or relationship state, quests, resources or costs, and access to a follow-up scene, location, or route. An effect is stronger when it appears immediately and repeats from the same preceding state.

  • Diplomacy: did faction or relationship state change?
  • Quests: did a new request, option, or restriction appear?
  • Resources: did income, cost, or availability move?
  • Access: did a scene, location, or ending condition open?

Keep the rejected branch

Community discussion is useful for finding questions, but a player report is not automatically a universal rule. Keep the rejected-alliance outcome as a separate branch and mark each note as confirmed, player-reported, or untested.
