Set a checkpoint before the fork
Before a major request, relationship decision, or quest dispatch, note the current day and the choice you are about to make. If the result changes the shape of the run, you will know exactly which decision you are comparing.
- What information is already known?
- Which character, faction, or resource is at stake?
- What would count as a better outcome on the next loop?
Log knowledge separately from outcomes
Keep three columns: decision, result, and what the result taught you. The result may change after a rewind, but the knowledge should make the next attempt faster and more precise.
Map endings without flattening the story
Start with broad conditions such as relationships, alliances, tower upgrades, and major quest choices. Add exact route details only after you can verify them in-game. Label each note as spoiler-light, partial spoiler, or full route so readers can stop at the right depth.
